This is what they are saying

We did it.

Yesterday, voters in Massachusetts and Idaho sent a clear message: We are not moving backward.

By a margin of more than 3 to 1, Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly rejected Question 8, defeating the first-ever ballot effort to repeal an existing marijuana legalization law.

In Idaho, two-thirds of voters rejected HJR 4, an attempt by lawmakers to strip citizens of their right to decide on marijuana policy through the ballot initiative process.

These victories are a resounding defeat for prohibitionists seeking to roll back progress and for politicians attempting to silence their own constituents.

And they’re victories worth celebrating.

To everyone who voted, spoke out, spread the word, or supported our efforts: Thank you. Together, we demonstrated that the future of cannabis policy belongs to the people, not prohibitionists.

There’s still much work to be done, but today let’s celebrate how far we’ve come. If you believe in the work we’re doing, please make a contribution to help NORML continue defending our freedoms and advancing reform nationwide.
